Individual: $150 per 60 minute session
Couples and Marriage: $180 per session (Couples Self Pay ONLY)

Billing for Marriage/Couples Counseling
We accept self-pay and Insurance plans (accept Insurance for MD Residents) for individual and family therapy at this time. We do not accept insurance for Couples Therapy unless there is a distinct identified patient
Insurance companies require that, through the course of treatment, we are treating one family member’s mental health diagnosis. A mental health diagnosis is required for us to bill the insurance company. When working with relationship concerns, we are treating the relationship and can only write notes reflecting that approach. We cannot say we are treating one member’s mental health when the concern is relational. There are rare exceptions where the focus is specifically one member of the couple’s mental health needs and couple’s therapy is an adjunct to that person’s individual therapy.
We can provide the forms necessary for Out-of-Network reimbursement if your insurance plan has this benefit. In addition, most HSA’s can be used to cover costs.

Sabrena Montgomery, LCSW-C , LCSW is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical and owner/operator of Healing Minds and Hearts Services (HMHS) providing mental health therapy to teens, adults and families living with mild to severe mental health disorders, and emotional issues. Using a cognitive behavioral, family systems, eclectic, and spiritual approach, she believes in the ideals of building an individual’s mental and emotional well-belling through self-empowerment. She also works with couples and individuals helping them to repair, identify, and realize healthy relationships through therapy and coaching.
Ms. Barnes-Montgomery is a EDMR trained therapist and is a Certified Prepare-Enrich Facilitator working with Couples. She sees clients from the ages of 17 to Adults.
Ms. Barnes-Montgomery has been in the Social Service/Human Services field working with and advocating for vulnerable populations for over 27 years on the State and National levels in the areas of mental health, child welfare, family preservation, foster care, adoption. Prior to pursing therapy full time, she served as the Administrator of the Maryland Citizens Review Board for Children, a State agency responsible for the monitoring and oversight of Maryland’s State child welfare system.
Ms. Barnes-Montgomery received her Master of Social Work degree from Howard University School of Social Work in Washington, DC. Ms. Barnes-Montgomery is licensed to practice therapy in the States of Maryland and Texas.
